Hi, I’m Sam. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside many individuals through anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, trauma, and life transitions. I provide compassionate, evidence-based counselling for children, teens, and adults, drawing from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy, trauma-informed practice, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My goal is to create a supportive, compassionate space where clients feel understood, educated, gain insight into their experiences, and develop practical tools for healing, resilience, and meaningful change. I believe that healing begins with connection, and I strive to meet each person where they are, honouring their unique story and pace. I aim to help clients deepen their self-awareness and gain insight into patterns that may be holding them back.
A little about me professionally: I hold a dual Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health and School Counselling from the University of Alaska, as well as a Bachelor of Social Work. I’ve been working professionally in the mental health field since 2016 (crazy that it’s already been 10 years!), with the past six years spent in private practice.
It is an honour to sit with someone and hold space for the most vulnerable and beautiful parts of who they are. I am humbled to be chosen as my clients’ therapist and grateful to walk alongside them in such meaningful ways. When you’re ready, I would be honoured to walk alongside you on your healing journey. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
