Hi, I'm Sam...

I have been providing Counselling & Psychotherapy services for 7 years. I pride myself in providing clients with up-to-date research and evidence-based practices. I bring my full self into the therapeutic process with clients.  I enjoy creating a strong relationship that is built on a foundation of trust, understanding, and empathy. I am committed to my clients and enjoy seeing them grow and progress throughout the therapy process. I hold space for difficult emotions and allow room to process and reflect without judgment. I am warm, genuine, and caring. I can wholeheartedly say that it is a privilege and honor to be someone’s therapist.

I look forward to begin this work with you!

Fun Facts About Me

I have two dogs (River & Summit)

I was not a "dog" person until two years ago when we our first dog, River. Now I love everything dogs, so much so we added another one to our family! River is an Aussiedoodle and Summit is a Sheepadoodle.

I played NCAA volleyball for the University of Alaska, Fairbanks.

I earned an athletic scholarship to the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. I lived there for 5 years and loved it! Why Alaska? The volleyball conference we played in had teams from Washington, Oregon, Montana, & Idaho. Pre season we would go to Hawaii, Colorado & California. Going to the University of Alaska allowed me to travel, play volleyball and gain a high level of education. I was named team captain my last two years of playing. I will forever be grateful for this experience.

I grew up in Saskatchewan

I was born and raised in southern Saskatchewan. Growing up on the prairies gave me an appreciation for the simple things in life. I have been living in Alberta since 2016 it is now where I call home.

Hobbies

I enjoy being outside in nature, hiking, cycling, going to the lake, walking the dogs, and going to the mountains!
